I proactively unfollow anyone who regularly posts about politics of any kind. I left an instance that talked too much about cyclist advocacy, and I’m an urban planner who is a bicycle advocate.
Have you thought about starting your own blog that syndicates to Mastodon et al.? You lose some features for sure, but it’s a little less like a rat pushing the button for the sugar water and dopamine hit.
