I’ve discovered that I prefer listening to nonfiction audiobooks over fiction. For me, fiction is for relaxing, nonfiction is just processing information.

@bryan I hear this! Podcasts are my non-fiction audiobooks for information gathering, but reading is relaxation. Related, this is why I don't get people who want to speed read. That's taking the enjoyment out of reading!

@bryan I’m the opposite. There’s so much information in nonfiction books I want to save or highlight, I can’t do that easily with an audiobook in the car. Plus, it’s easier for me to pass the commute time getting “lost” in a fiction audiobook.

@teejay interesting! I rarely if ever go back to notes. I retain information better by listening but I can follow a storyline so much better by reading at my own pace, where I can stop to ponder a part that makes me think, or to make sure I’m understanding subtext. More interpretation.
