You two are good people and you make me laugh! I grew up in a very low-income area of Saginaw, Michigan, but went to an upper middle class elementary school, so I'm no stranger to this type of experience. Honestly, we're upper middle class by anyone's standards, we just have a lot temporary expenses (daycare, students loans), save a bit for retirement and the kids' college funds, and have to make strategic choices about how we spend, like most people. We splurge on good food, but I choose to drive an old, paid-off car. We travel but live in a small fixer-upper of a house. I mostly look at these experiences with upper class personalities as pure comedy.
