Nice lunch on the waterfront in downtown Vancouver.
Pretty, pretty good
We shipped our kids off to my mother-in-law’s for the night and drove out past the gorge to Dalles Mountain Ranch in Columbia Hills Historical State Park. The wildflowers were in bloom and the cloud cover kept us cool. It was very peaceful, and it felt good to burn some calories in preparation for a well-earned beer.
The start of today’s hike.
Not my doing, but love it nonetheless.
Getting tired of managing multiple fedi accounts. Shuffling the deck back to Micro.blog.
It makes me cringe whenever I hear people complain about funding essential services like schools at adequate levels when most don’t even remotely understand the impacts of their low-density neighborhood on the budgets of their communities and service districts.
Afternoon walks this time of year.
Is there a native or easy way to transcribe an Apple voice memo?
I couldn’t help myself, I bought the domain sadmachines.social. It makes me smile, even though I’m not sure what I’ll do with it yet.

Google documents, first reported by the Intercept in 2022, suggest that the Google services on offer to Israel via its Cloud have capabilities such as AI-enabled facial detection, automated image categorization, and object tracking.
I hate to admit it, but I might be leaning more towards Bluesky over Mastodon now that there is such deep integration with Micro.blog. Really has me rethinking everything.
All these big legged pants are giving me major flashbacks.
Photo from our neighborhood park over the weekend. This little place has become a central part of our lives and one of the best parts about where we live. There must have been at least 25 kids and their parents there, from diverse backgrounds, just in the short time we were there on Sunday.
One of the worst parts about anxiety is the persistent mind reading. I know I’m not alone when I say I often have to drown out the imaginary voices I hear when I look at other people’s faces looking back at me. It’s gotten better as I’ve gotten older, but has never completely gone away.
This Baked Crunch Hot Chicken recipe my wife made tonight was delicious. Instantly saved to the Mela app.
I still think we should be able to delete / detach any comments on our own micro blog posts, wherever our site may exist in the Fediverse. For me, this is easily the biggest issue with ActivityPub.
